Women’s March Photo Diary

I genuinely don’t know how to write this post. This is the reason I haven’t been updating. It’s because I can’t move on to the next thing on my list without publishing it. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I went to the Women’s March last weekend. Everyone who participated made history. This is something I will be able to tell my grandkids someday.

I don’t know where to start, so let’st start here:

The March Made Me Feel Proud Again

The only word I can use to describe this is amazing. I was AMAZING. I can’t describe to y’all. There is a difference between watching something on the news and being there. I saw white people marching for black people, men marching for women, workers marching for immigrants, Jewish people marching for Muslims, Christians marching for the LGBTQ+ community…the list goes on.

Atlanta expected 10,000 people, but 64,000 showed up. I honestly think we’d have reached 100,000 if it weren’t for the fact that it was pouring rain all morning (So many people painted their signs on top of umbrellas. Such a smart idea!)

Seeing so many people together supporting each other made me feel proud again. I didn’t even realize how ashamed of our country I had felt before then. Looking around at the people supporting others rights, I thought “This is what America was supposed to be about!”

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here are a bunch: (Just click on the images below to start the slide show)
