My Top Ten List

Around 2 years ago, I was looking through my bucket list Pinterest Board (Come on, you have one, too) and thought about how unfocused it was. There are so many things that I want to do. So many places I want to see. I needed to narrow all my dreams down to something I could take initiative with. I had to narrow my bucket list down to 10 experiences. This list isn’t stuff like get married or buy my first home. Those are GOALS that I definitely plan on achieving at some point. The Top 10 list contains experiences that I can live without, but I want to do soon. That is how this list was born. All of my senior year of high school, this list was on a post-it note on my desktop and was later transferred to my journal. I am now sharing it with you all. I hope you enjoy.

1//Visit Bangladesh

This is the country where my parents, grandparents, and everyone else in my family is from. I have never been there, but I plan to go.

2//Backpack Europe

I would love to spend a month in Europe as a poor college student sleeping in hostels and pinching pennies for gelato. Of course, I plan to save enough money, so that I don’t have to pinch pennies, but you get the picture

3//Skydive

Come on… who hasn’t thought about jumping off of a plane?

4//Visit All 7 Continents

I want to travel the world and going to all 7 continents is a goal I feel every wanderluster wants to achieve. I was actually surprised how easy it is to go to Antarctica. (Fun Fact- My Advanced Genetics teacher from High School went there)

5//Get a Tattoo

This might change. If I get a tattoo, I need to put a lot of thought into it. There are also a lot of chemicals in the ink that can affect my body in the long run (like it may affect my child when I get pregnant), so I need to do more research on this.

6//Road Trip With My Friends

It doesn’t necessarily have to be excessively planned or extravagant. I really just want to take a big trip with just my friends at some point. No parents or chaperones.

7//Experience Zero Gravity

This is rather expensive (like $5000), but this is a once in a lifetime experience. Who wouldn’t want to feel what it is like to be somewhere without gravity?

8//Go on a Cruise

There are so many murder mystery novels set cruises. Honestly, what got this on my bucket list was the book Sammy Keyes and the Killer Cruise by Wendelin Van Draanan. It made cruises sound like a ton of fun. Plus, I have friends who tell me that they are awesome. There is also the fact that I can go to multiple countries in one luxury trip. That’s enough reason for this wanderluster.

9//Go to all 7 Wonders of the World

There are actually more than 7 wonders of the world. There are the 7 modern wonders of the world, the 7 natural wonders of the world…, you get the picture. I want to go to at least 7 of them.  4

10//Start a Blog

(Completed 5/29/2016)

Well, I have already accomplished this goal, obviously. So I’ll leave it at that.
