My March Goals | 2019 Powersheets

Hello, lovelies! I’m back with another monthly goals post. I was going to post the Bangladesh Recap Pt. 2 today, but then my March goals wouldn’t end up being posted until the 5th and I didn’t want to wait that long. You’ll get the travel post next.

Last Months Post – My February Goals | 2019 Powersheets

//How I Did In February//

Honestly, the first half of February was very underproductive when it came to these goals. I was much more focused on school, which is good. Academics is one of my focuses for 2019, but I just wanted to let you know that most of these got done in the last week and a half.

  • Update Resume – Complete.
  • Finish 7 Books – Complete. I finished more than ten books!
  • Special Education Volunteer Opportunity – Complete.
  • Finalize Spring Break Trip – Not yet. I’m still figuring out what I want to do, so this will be a last minute trip.
  • Google Adsense & Tailwind – I signed up for Tailwind, but I didn’t add advertisements to the blog.
  • Open LinkedIn Profile – Complete
  • Take One Picture A Day – This was surprisingly difficult because I would forget, but I did 23/28 days.
  • Rotate Tires & Wash Car – I got a lot of car stuff done last month: oil change, tire change, etc., but I did not take it to the car wash. That was the lowest priority when it came to the car maintenance I had to get done, so I’m calling this a win.
  • Post 2 Blog Posts Per Week – Complete!

//My March Goals//

I’m not sharing a lot of my goals this month because some things will be announced later on. I hope you enjoy.

//Plan A Get Together With My Friends

I’ve seen my best friends from high school individually a few times in the last few months, but we haven’t planned a get-together since January. I’m definitely going to do one in March.

//Finish 9 Books

I will probably surpass this goal. I’ve been reading a lot recently and I’ve still got a lot of books on my TBR. I’m excited to get to them. I do have to read two classics this month instead of one because I was on a huge sci-fi kick in February and wasn’t in the mood to read The Jungle Book (I’ve just started it), but I’m excited to get through them.

//GRE Math Section

I started studying for the GRE in January but decided to put that on the backburner in February. March is going to be a very busy month for me, schoolwise, which is why I decided to the easiest section [for me] this month (Math). I should be able to get through it relatively easily in between all the exams and papers I have to write.

//Make A 2019 Facebook Album

I’m sh*t at posting things on social media and I really like looking back at Facebook albums and sharing photos with my extended family. I’m going to start a Facebook album for this year and update it every three months. I would also like to post more on Instagram, but that’s an even bigger battle I don’t want to get into right now.

//Weekly Goals

  • Blog Twice A Week
  • Go To A Dance Class Once A Week – There are a bunch of weekly dance classes at my university (Salsa, Ballroom, Swing, etc.) and I want to start taking some of them. I’ll replace one or two of my weekly workouts with a dance class.
  • Work Out (Monday-Thursday) – including any dance classes I take.

//Daily Habits

  • Take Vitamins
  • Physical Therapy Exercises
  • Take A Picture

//India Night

I am from Bangladesh by the way. I’m not Indian. I just thought I’d preface this now. I went to my schools India Night at the beginning of this month. It was a lot of fun. It was sponsored by the Indian-American student group on campus, so the show was more about the perspective of children of immigrants. Since I can relate to that, the show was hilarious.

I dressed my friend Julia in a sari for the occasion. I had never put a sari on another person before (alone) and my mom had no faith in me. She joked to me that maybe I should bring an extra outfit to let Julia borrow. ???? Thankfully, I was able to dress her in it relatively easily. The show was a lot of fun and I definitely plan on going next year.

//I Took My Friend To Her First Broadway Show

I bought my friend Shounima Waitress tickets for her 22nd birthday in January, and we went to the show this month. It was really good and she enjoyed it a lot. Afterward, we took the train to Lenox station and she finally met my friend Deya. The three of us ate dinner at a Mexican restaurant and hung out at the mall before Shounima and I took the train home. I think we spent about eight straight hours together which hasn’t happened since middle school. It was a really fun day.

//Lunar New Year Festival

Chinese New Year was in February and there was a Lunar New Year festival at my university. I had to take notes on it for class, but I still had a lot of fun and the food was delicious. This is another event I plan on attending next year.

I think those were the main highlights. I went out more in general last month. I went to the mall with one of my best friends who attends another university. I went to the movies with my brothers and started watching The Bachelor every Monday with a group of girls I know. I’ve just been having more fun in general while still keeping up with my classes.

I was not very good about working out, though. There were these two weeks where it was freezing and pouring rain and I just couldn’t bring myself to walk to the gym. I could physically feel the difference in my body after not working out for so long.

Anyway, I’m excited about what March will bring. I have a feeling it will be even better than February, but the pollen is coming back, so my allergies will too. We’ll see how that goes.
