My August Goals | 2019 Powersheets

Hello, lovelies! I’m back with another monthly goals post. I hope you enjoy!

Last Month’s Goals – My July Goals | 2019 Powersheets

//How I Did In July//

  • Finalize Living Situation – Complete. I signed all the papers and everything.
  • Clean & Organize Room – I would count this as half-completed. I did get some cleaning done, but not nearly as much as I wanted to. Parts of my room are still a complete disorganized mess, so I would like to sort that out before I move back to campus.
  • Finish 8 Books – Complete.
  • Upload Travel Photos & Update 2019 Facebook Album – Nope. I’ve uploaded and organized all my travel photos on my laptop, but I have yet to go through them and post them. Same goes for my photos from the second quarter of the year. I’ll try to do that this month.
  • Plan A Get-Together With My Friends – Complete. We actually managed to have three in the span of two weeks, but this goal counts as complete because I hosted one at my house.
  • Publish 1 Blog Post Per Week – I’ve had the urge to blog a lot more recently. I actually posted twice a week barring one week in July. My goal is still to upload every Tuesday, but I have a tendency to overload my editorial calendar with extra blog posts instead of scheduling things in advance. We’ll see how long I can keep up with a consistent schedule.
  • Work Out 4-5 Times Per Week – Nope. I worked out three times a week or four times per week max in the month of July. I’m taking a P.E class next semester, so my workouts should become much more consistent once the semester starts.

//Send Internship Mentors Thank You Notes

My internship ends this month. My last day is the day before classes start, so there won’t be much buffer time between work and school. I’ve worked under a LOT of people the past few months, who have taught me many things, so I have a lot of thank you notes to write.

//Make X Amount Of Money

I haven’t set any income goals in some time, but I haven’t been working as much outside my internship and now that it’s over, I would like to get back into the swing of things. (I’m self-employed, so my income fluctuates every month).

//Completely Set Up And Decorate Dorm Room

I like to get this done in the first month of school so that I can enjoy the decorations and not have to live in a half-moved-in area for too long.

//Create An Assignment List

Every semester, I compile all my assignments for every class in order. This helps me make my do list every week with all my readings and assignments.

//Finish 9 Books

I have a goal of reading 100 books in 2019, which means I have to read 8-9 books every month. This goal has been easier than I thought it would be, so I’m sure I’ll be able to complete it.

//Take Care Of Mysoon

Easily the biggest thing happening next month: my mom is going to Bangladesh! This is super exciting. She’s trying to cook three weeks worth of meals for everyone so that I won’t have to cook much, as I write this.

This entails a lot of things. I have to come home Monday, Wednesday, and Friday every week to help take care of him, feed him, and a million other things. My brother Zidan will have to take care of that stuff the other two days because my grandparents can’t help out too much with Mysoon and my dad works a lot from home to pay for all of the things, but he’s planning on working less to take over a lot of the stuff my mom does. )I haven’t mentioned this yet on this post, but my brother Mysoon has autism, which is why my mom traveling takes a lot of planning and driving back and forth.) I’ll talk more about it later, but basically, my roommate will rarely see me in the first month of school.

//Get In A Study Routine

Originally, my goal was to get into a routine in general, but my schedule next month is going to be very different from my future school routine that I changed it. I feel like school will end up falling into the backburner behind work and family obligations, and I don’t want that to be the case.

//July Recap//

//July 4th at Lakehouse

Independence Day this year was super fun. We had a party at my house with a bunch of Bengali people, then I left that party early and had a sleepover at my friend Kat’s lakehouse. I hadn’t seen her in a few months, so it was great catching up.

//Akash Moved In

Last summer, my childhood best friend, Deya, moved back to America from Bangladesh. She is currently living with one of our moms’ close friends. In July, her brother moved to America and now lives at my house. He’s the same age as my brother Zidan, so they’ve been having a lot of fun. I still haven’t processed that he lives here now. Whenever I come home from work and he’s there, it feels like it’s a prolonged sleepover. He’s expressed the same thought to me. Now there are three brothers in my house.

//Fun Meetups With Friends

I met up with my friends a bunch of times last month. One of my best friends is getting married (because we’re apparently old enough to do that now. What?!?!) and we threw her a surprise bridal shower. It was great.

Dinner with friends (plus new haircut. The lady cut it too short, but I like the bangs)

//Shawn Mendes Concert

A few days ago, I went to the Shawn Mendes concert and it was an insane amount of fun. My friend got tickets for her birthday and brought me and two other friends with her. I actually saw him the last time he went on tour. His was the first American concert I had ever been to. Alessia Cara opened for him and both of them sang phenomenally. I’m glad I was able to go

That’s it for now! Until next time!
