My November Goals | 2019 Powersheets

Hello, lovelies! October was actually a really amazing month for me, but I did not accomplish the majority of my goals, as you will see below. Hopefully, November will go better.

//How I Did In October//

  • Finalize Trip For December – Nope. I don’t think I’m going to go anymore. It was a great opportunity, but it was too last minute and a lot of things are up in the air right now. The timing just wasn’t right. It was an internship/volunteer opportunity in India to work at a special needs school. Maybe I’ll be able to pull it off considering my track record when it comes to last-minute trips, but I think the writing is on the wall.
  • Make Preparations For E-Course – I did do some things for it at the beginning of the month, then decided to postpone this goal to next year.
  • Plan A Halloween Party Complete. We had it over the weekend and it was Percy Jackson themed.
  • Set Up Meeting With Career Center – I should have just done this at the beginning of the month to get it over with but put it off until I was too busy to go.
  • October Income Goal – I was really close, but I didn’t reach it. It is what it is. Though, it already looks like I’ll surpass it in November, which is awesome.
  • Add Advertisements To Blog – Nope.
  • Update 2019 Facebook Album – Didn’t do this either.  I didn’t even look through my photos. I really need to at least organize them on my computer before they get lost in the void.
  • Weekly Goals
    • Follow Weekly Study Schedule – Complete. This routine has really been working for me. I have A’s in nearly all my classes.
    • Post On Blog Twice A Week – I really didn’t have time and I wasn’t really proud of most of the blog posts I wrote last month. They were super rushed and were quite short considering I wrote them in between midterm assignments. I like my editorial calendar for November a lot better.
    • Study GRE Prep Book – I didn’t do this every week, but I did get some studying done.
    • Go Out Twice A Week – Complete. I did a lot of fun stuff in October.
    • Solo Coffee Dates – Complete. I almost didn’t complete this one because I guilt myself out of spending money, but it ended up being an enjoyable and productive use of my time. Half the time I did school work, and other days I would journal, read, or blog in the shop. It was really nice.
    • Work Out 3-5 Days Per Week – Complete-ish. I don’t track my workouts, but I’m 90% sure I exercised at least three times per week for the majority of the month.

// Finish 5 Papers Before Thanksgiving Break

My mom is going back to Bangladesh to visit her mother again this month, so I want to finish the majority of my final papers before she leaves. We’re all trying to make it that she’ll be able to visit Bangladesh a few more times before my grandmother passes, so I’ll have to drive back and forth to Atlanta again. It’ll be harder than last time in that I’ll be in the midst of finals, but it’ll also be easier since I will be on Thanksgiving break for part of the time she’s gone. I’m slightly more prepared than last time and my brain is subconsciously creating meal plans as I write this. I would like to finish most of my papers before she leaves so that I won’t have to think about them.

// Alphabet Book Challenge

I kind of just decided to do this on a whim for fun. I’ve already read 84 books this year, so I decided to fill out the list. It turns out that I have six empty letters (I’ve read a surprising number of books starting with the letter “R”), so I decided to complete all those letters this month (or at least by the end of the year). Realistically, I’d like to get through four letters because there are other books I’d like to get to. Here are some of the books I plan on reading for the challenge.

O – (The) Outsiders

Q – (A) Quiet Kind Of Thunder

U – (The) Umbrella Academy

V – Vox

X – X-Men (I’ve been in a comic book mood lately, and it fit the challenge.)

Z – (The) Zookeeper’s Wife

// Catch Up On Classics List

I set a goal of reading 12 classics this year and I’ve finished eleven, but I haven’t been following the list I made at the beginning of 2019, so here are the ones I want to get through this month:

  • Pride & Prejudice (Currently Reading)
  • Sherlock Holmes #1: A Study In Scarlet (Currently Reading)
  • The Story of King Arthur and His Knights
  • The Picture Of Dorian Gray

I usually get through about ten books a month anyway, and X-Men Umbrella Academy are graphic novels, so this shouldn’t be too difficult if I stick to my TBR.

// Do Something Fun For My Birthday

I was actually able to plan this over the weekend, so this goal is pretty much complete. I’m turning 22, but I still enjoy celebrating my birthday. I think I’ll always enjoy it. You’re never too old to invite friends and eat food.

My dad’s birthday is in May, but my aunt brought him a birthday cake during a party in October to mess with him (For some reason)
“Why aren’t you blowing out the candles?”
“It’s not my birthday!”

//Set Up Meeting At Career Center

This was pushed forward from last month. I would like to get this done within the next two weeks. I’m graduating in six months, so it’s crunch time.

// Actually Go To The Gym

I’m really going to need to go to the gym this month because things are going to be super nuts the last few weeks of the semester and I need to do this for self-care. I genuinely have less energy when I don’t work out.

// Post On Blog Twice A Week

I should probably only commit to once a week, but let’s be ambitious. Blog posts are fun to write in between essays.

Family

//October Reflection//

October was a really great month. There was only one really busy week where I had exams every day, but the rest of the month was pretty chill. I spent a lot of time with my friends and family, went out a ton, and read a lot of really good books. There are at least three that will make it to my favorite books of the year wrap up, so it was an amazing reading month. There was nothing particularly special about October. I just really enjoyed my day to day life and I had plans throughout the week.

Well, that’s it for now. Until next time!
